The DMP-15, slated to be on sale by May this year, sports an 8.9 inch WSVGA (1024×600 pixel) LCD screen to watch all those HD movies. There is competition already though - not in the form of a competing product, but netbooks.
As expected, you’ll find a rechargeable battery, an HDMI port, ethernet connectivity and even an SD Card reader, apart from support for BD Live and quite a few limited Internet-based services including YouTube, Amazon video-on-demand and Google PicasaWeb.
Panasonic also announced a Blu-ray/VHS dual player combo, the DMP-BD70V, along with two new dedicated Blu-ray players: the DMP-BD60 and DMP-BD80.
