This is a cool idea, a football (American) that can measure and display how far it has been thrown, so next time you throw a great touch down pass you can brag about the distance accurately (rather than saying it went really really far).Known as the Virtual Distance Football, the distance thrown is calculated by using sensors to detect when the ball is thrown and then the impact of a catch or fumble (though how it knows the distance between the two is beyond me).
